That is full, this is full.
From full, the full is taken, the full has come.
If you remove the full from the full, the full alone remains.
This day includes practical yoga classes for experienced practitioners including asana, pranayama, yoga nidra, and meditations inspired by Ishavasya Upanishad.
Ishavasya Upanishad
As part of the day there will be a simple heartfelt down to earth non academic exploration of the Ishavasya Upanishad.
Chanting and contemplative reflections on the text will be part of the day.
The text begins with the beautiful and well known Shanti Mantra Om Poornamadah, Poornamidam...translated in the box on the left. A constant stream of inspiration flows throughout the following verses.
Ishavasya Upanishad is an ancient text, around 3000 years old, the 40th chapter of the Yajurveda, one of the four principal Vedas. The previous thirty nine chapters describe various mantra, rituals and ceremonies. The Ishavasya Upanishad, however, is not concerned with ritual. It distills, in a few verses, a concise depiction of the deepest mysteries of life.
